Communicating for the Public - IAVCEI 2017

Description: This short workshop exposed participants to lessons learned from experienced volcano hazards communicators in attendance; provided practice on messaging using a Single Overriding Communications Objective (SOCO) worksheet with the assitance of Jeffery Rubin, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue; and provided a venue for discussion about the challenges of and best practices for communicating volcano-related science and hazards.
